Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in data pipeline development, data integration, and data transformation using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and other data engineering tools.
In this role, you will play a central part in enabling data-driven insights by ensuring seamless data flows from raw ingestion through complex transformation and warehousing, enabling our clients to leverage data effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, data integrations, and data warehouses using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, understand, and document business and data requirements.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data analysis, reporting, and data transformation needs.
- Utilize Python/Pyspark for data extraction, transformation, and automation of data processes.
- Implement data solutions using Spark for distributed data processing and performance optimization.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data systems' performance, security, and scalability.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Create insightful data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI, catering to business and stakeholder needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on ETL pipeline creation and management.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse).
- Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and database management.
- Advanced programming skills in Python for ETL, data processing, and automation.
- Experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL principles, and data warehousing best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with data security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the healthcare industry
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Benefits & Compensation:
- The standard base pay range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually.
- Eligible for equity awards based on factors such as accrued experience and job performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and skills.
